Piers joined Milburns as a trainee solicitor in Maryport in 1991 having been educated at Cockermouth School and Liverpool Polytechnic. John Marsham LL.B A former senior Partner whose association with the firm dates back to 1958, John "retired" in 1995 only to come back as the firm's Specialist Consultant in Clinical Negligence. A member of the Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel, John has a formidable reputation both locally and regionally. Educated at Gordonstoun and Liverpool University, John qualified as a solicitor in 1958 after "articles" in a practice on Merseyside. John's ability and presence has helped the firm to be acknowledged as a panel solicitor for S I A (The Spinal Injuries Association) -an organisation offering services to the victims of major spinal injuries. Vikki Porthouse Joined the Litigation department at Whitehaven in 2007. Educated at St Josephs School, Workington and graduated from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh.
