David Telford LL.B The Senior Partner, based at the Maryport office, who has been with the firm since 1966. David's family connection with the practice dates back to 1950 through his father David Snr, who worked for the firm for 38 years prior to his retirement. Educated at Cockermouth Grammar School and Liverpool University, David qualified as a solicitor in 1968. David specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing along with wills and probate matters. John Moore LL.B PG.Dip After a period practising in Yorkshire, latterly as a sole practitioner, John joined Milburns in May 2000. John's client cases involve divorce & family law, personal injury claims and civil litigation matters. Educated at Workington Grammar School and Cockermouth Grammar School before going to Liverpool University, John qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and spent the bulk of his career outside of the county. He returned to his native West Cumbria in 2000 to join the Milburns non-contentious team, but has soon built up a reputation on contentious matters. Diane Oliphant F.Inst.L.Ex A Legal Executive based at the Maryport office dealing with non-contentious matters - conveyancing, wills and probate. Educated at Netherhall School Diane (nee Telford), daughter of the Senior Partner, joined Milburns in 1991, initially as a Trainee Secretary.
